We love our pup Tux! It’s like he’s always been part of our family. Our experience finding him through Much Ado About Doodles was great! From the first video call to meet our pup to his delivery right to our front door. He is so well-behaved and trained. Thank you so much!

Marie Caraballo

We love our puppy and we were treated so well by the breeder! Phenomenal customer care and dog care, very impressed and would highly recommend.

Isabel Hoyt

We are so incredibly happy with our puppy, Ginger, that we got from Much Ado About Doodles. Since we live in Virginia, we decided to visit their farm and pick our puppy out in person. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Much Ado About Doodles, and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone in the market for a dog.

FAQ

What sizes do your Goldendoodles come in, and how big will they get?

We breed Miniature (typically 15–30 lbs), Medium (30–45 lbs), and Standard (50–70+ lbs) Goldendoodles. The final adult size depends on the specific generation and parentage, which we outline in detail for every litter!

Are Goldendoodles truly hypoallergenic and non-shedding?

Goldendoodles are low-to-non-shedding, making them excellent options for families with allergies. Wavy and curly coats shed the least. Through intentional multigenerational breeding and genetic testing, we minimize dander and loose fur.

What is the difference between an F1, F1B, and Multigen Goldendoodle?

An F1 is a 50/50 Golden Retriever/Poodle cross. F1B is an F1 crossed back with a Poodle (75% Poodle), creating a curlier, extra low-shedding coat. Multigen Goldendoodles come from multiple generations of Doodle-to-Doodle breeding, allowing us to consistently predict coat types and hypoallergenic qualities.

What kind of temperament do Goldendoodles have?

Goldendoodles inherit the affectionate, eager-to-please nature of the Golden Retriever combined with the high intelligence of the Poodle. They are friendly, family-oriented, highly social, and generally great with children and other pets.

How much exercise and mental stimulation does a Goldendoodle need?

Goldendoodles are active, working-breed descendants. They require about 45–60 minutes of daily exercise, such as brisk walks, fetch, or swimming, along with puzzle toys to keep their smart minds busy!

How often do Goldendoodles need to be groomed?

Expect to brush your Goldendoodle 2–3 times a week (or daily for longer coats) and book professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to maintain coat health and prevent matting.

Are Goldendoodles easy to train for first-time owners?

Yes! Goldendoodles are widely considered one of the best breeds for first-time dog owners due to their high intellect and desire to please. Early socialization, crate training, and positive reinforcement work wonders.

Are Goldendoodles prone to separation anxiety?

Because Goldendoodles form deep bonds with their human families, they prefer not to be left alone for extended periods. Crate training from day one builds confidence and prevents separation stress.

What health testing do you perform on your parent Goldendoodles?

We prioritize health above all else. Our breeding parents undergo health screenings for hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions, heart health, and DNA testing for breed-specific genetic conditions.

Do Goldendoodles like water and swimming?

Yes! Both Golden Retrievers and Poodles are historical water-retrieving dogs. Most Goldendoodles naturally love water, swimming, and playing under the hose.
